Why Choose Impression Imaging for Your Medical Imaging Needs?

why choose impression imaging

Have you ever put off making a doctor’s appointment because you feel anxious about medical procedures? If so, you’re not alone. Being in a doctor’s office or hospital can trigger anxiety in many people. Perhaps you’ve had a negative experience with a provider in the past or felt like your needs weren’t met. Maybe you have claustrophobia, a fear of needles or another reason for avoiding diagnostic imaging and similar care.

At Impression Imaging, we’re proud to provide convenient and compassionate service to all patients. We know that getting a medical scan can be stressful for some people, which is why our radiologists and technologists create a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.

Impression Imaging’s Expertise

Impression Imaging maintains a highly experienced and dedicated staff to enhance the medical diagnostic imaging process. Our medical director, Dr. Michael Fagien, is a renowned radiologist and nuclear medicine physician with over 30 years of experience.

He has traveled the world teaching other radiologists how to interpret complex imaging studies and has personally read over 100,000 scans in the South Florida region. No one in the area has the depth of experience and expertise that Dr. Fagien brings to Impression Imaging.

He actively helps propel the radiology and diagnostic medicine industries forward with his knowledge of hybrid anatomic, molecular and oncologic imaging. He plays a vital role in advising the industry on the development of PET and the fusion of PET/CT.

Our diagnostic radiologist, Dr. Delbert Benzenhafer, maintains extensive education and experience in diagnostic radiology and molecular imaging. In addition, his commitment to patient-centered care and continued interest in the field make him a trusted medical imaging specialist.

Under the guidance of Dr. Fagien and Dr. Benzenhafer, Impression Imaging continues to provide unparalleled efficiency and accuracy in performing exams and expediting reports.

deliver the most accurate and detailed results

Advanced Technology and Services

At Impression Imaging, we utilize state-of-the-art imaging equipment to deliver the most accurate and detailed results. Our reports and images are delivered digitally through our HIPAA-compliant portal, accessible on computers and mobile devices. We also offer a range of medical imaging services and exams, including:

1. PET Scans

A positron emission tomography (PET) scan is used to identify certain medical conditions in the body, including cancer, epilepsy and heart disease. It can also be used to evaluate the function of the organs, such as your metabolism or cognitive functioning in the brain. PET scans use radioactive imaging to produce accurate images that allow radiologists to diagnose, monitor and treat various diseases.

At Impression Imaging, we can perform a PET scan to assess brain activity, myocardial viability or whole-body functioning, including:

  • Amyvid
  • Neuraceq
  • Ga-68 NETSPOT
  • Ga 68-Illucix
  • Ga- Locametz
  • CU-64 Dotatate
  • F-18 Pylarify
  • F-18 Posluma
  • F-18 Axumin
  • F-18 Cerianna
  • Myocardial perfusion

2. CT Scans

A computed tomography (CT) scan is another standard medical imaging procedure that uses X-rays to produce detailed images of the body, including bones, soft tissues and blood vessels. A CT scan is used to identify a variety of conditions, such as:

  • Cancer
  • Bone injuries
  • Blood clots
  • Heart disease
  • Brain injuries

Impression Imaging offers a range of CT scans for the entire body, including:

  • CT head and face
  • CT protocol
  • CT spine
  • CT orbits
  • CT lower body
  • CT extremities
  • CT chest
  • CT scan full body

3. CTA Scans

Some patients may need a contrast agent injected before a CT scan to highlight abnormalities. In this case, we can perform a computed tomography angiography (CTA).

A CTA combines a standard CT scan with contrast dye to dilate a patient’s blood vessels and tissues. This helps radiologists identify and diagnose:

  • Blood vessel disease
  • Blockages
  • Aneurysms
  • Ruptures
  • Vascular malformations
  • Congenital abnormalities

The trusted staff at Impression Imaging can perform various cardiac CTA scans, including:

  • CTA head
  • CTA neck/carotid
  • CTA chest
  • CTA abdomen
  • CTA pelvis
  • CTA abdomen and pelvis
  • CTA renal arteries
  • CTA upper extremity
  • CTA lower extremity
  • CTA runoff

4. Cardiac Studies

Cardiac tests can help your health care providers diagnose, monitor and treat heart conditions. At Impression Imaging, we perform many cardiac studies for patients to help their medical care team determine proper interventions and treatment plans.

We use PET scan technology for many of our cardiac radiology studies, which include:

  • Nuclear stress test: We’ll evaluate your heart’s electrical rhythm and blood circulation while you’re under slight pharmacological stress, such as walking on a treadmill.
  • Myocardial viability PET scan: If you recently experienced a heart attack or have an existing heart condition, a myocardial viability PET scan will help us identify any damage to your heart muscle.
  • PYP amyloidosis scan: Amyloidosis is a rare disease that causes a buildup of proteins in one or more organs. A pyrophosphate (PYP) amyloidosis scan uses single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging that allows our radiologists to see which organs are affected in the early stages of the disease.

5. Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear medicine procedures use a small amount of injectable radioactive material to allow radiologists to detect abnormal material inside the body. The experts at Impression Imaging can assess the functionality or condition of various body parts with the following procedures:

  • Whole-body bone scan
  • Limited bone scan
  • Triple phase bone scan
  • Parathyroid scan
  • Thyroid uptake scan
  • Hepatobiliary scan with cholecystokinin (CCK)
  • Hepatobiliary scan without CCK
  • Multigated acquisition (MUGA) scan
  • Gallium-67 scan
  • Gastric emptying
  • Lung quantification scan
  • V/Q lung scan ventilation/perfusion
  • Renal scan with Lasix/without Lasix
  • Brain single-photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) scan
  • Liver spleen
  • Liver SPECT
  • SPECT bone scan
  • DAT scan

6. Oncology Imaging

Impression Imaging remains a trusted imaging center for diagnosing and monitoring cancer. If you’ve recently had a biopsy, you may be referred to oncology imaging so your physician can accurately stage and treat your cancer.

We understand that every diagnosis is unique, which is why our radiologists offer multiple oncology imaging services to properly coordinate care with your doctors.
